The Marriage Course

The Marriage Course is very practical, giving any married couple the tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Using video input from leading global relationship experts, psychologists and authors, the course equips couples with tools and techniques to keep the spark alive and stay connected. While based on Christian principles, the course is relevant and helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background.

Over seven sessions, the course will help you to:

    • Understand each other’s needs
    • Communicate more effectively
    • Grow closer by learning methods to resolve conflict
    • Recover from the ways you may have hurt each other
    • Recognise how your upbringing affects your relationship
    • Improve relationships with parents and in-laws
    • Develop greater sexual intimacy
    • Discover each other’s “love language” and more.

Privacy as a couple is always respected. There is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about your relationship to anyone else.

The course will commence at RBC on Tuesday, 29 July at 7.30pm and will run for 7 consecutive weeks. The cost is $60 per couple and includes dessert, tea and coffee and course materials.

What can you expect?

On The Marriage Course, you are seated at your own table for two. Each session begins with dessert served at your table to create the atmosphere of a date. Then each episode is around 45 minutes in length, with breaks for couples to have private, guided conversations. You never share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner. Background music ensures that you can chat in complete privacy.
